Bio of Dr. Jayasree Basu

Jayasree Basu, Ph.D. MBA

With over 50 publications, Dr. Jayasree  Basu has been one of the most prolific  and well-known researchers in health services research.  She has been working as a health services research director since 1980, at reputable institutions including  the Health Resources Planning Commission, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for the State of Maryland, Office of the Actuary Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and AHRQ.. Possessing both an MBA and a Ph.D. in Economics, she has been a valuable addition to every team and workplace.  Jayasree Basu serves in the doctoral committees for health policy researchers,  as a peer reviewer for many scholarly journals, including Health Services Research, Medical Care, Medical Care Research and Review, Health care Financing review, Journal of Healthcare for the Poor and Underserved, and Journal of Rural Health, participates in research grants study sections and technical advisory groups and Task Forces, and chairs expert panels.
